The CBC offers both Dinghy and Keelboat rentals in our fleet of sailboats. We do not charter or rent our boats overnight.  Our keelboats are stable and carry 3+ crew, while our dinghies carry 1-3 crew and require a nimble crew to keep them upright.  Both are tons of fun and are an outstanding way to get on the Bay and enjoy being on the water!

All CBC sailboats rentals require completion of our Sailing 101 class, our refresher course (Sailing 150), or a check-out by our staff.

Daily Rental Rates:

Due to the time and effort required to launch both keelboats and dinghies, renters are charged by 4-hour block of time. This allows two rentals per day, or the option of renting the boat for the entire day.

Season Pass Rates:

Season passes are valid during our season of operation: May 1 - October 15th. Our sailing season passes are likely the best deal in town, and the keelboat season pass pays for itself after only 2.5 days of sailing!

Keelboat Rentals

The Community Boating Center has a J/24, Santana 20, Ranger 29, and Etchells 22 available for rental when not being used by classes. All boats have a main and jib, some also include a spinnaker. These keelboats are tons of fun, require a proficiency checkout, and are affordably priced.

NOTE: The Etchells 22 has specialized racing rigging and requires prior experience with the rig to be rented. We do not currently offer classes that use this boat, and it is kept on a trailer near Squallicum Harbor for hoist-launch. The Etchells 22 is also available for Wednesday evening racing rental. Please call the CBC for specific inquiries regarding this boat.

Sunfish, Lasers and Capri 14.2s, and a Ranger 16 are available for rentals throughout the season when not being used by our classes.
