Wild Women (with Shifting Gears)

The Community Boating Center and Shifting Gears partner to offer weekly all women’s sunset paddles on Bellingham Bay. We provide experienced staff that will lead the sea kayaking adventures and provides all kayak and safety equipment. These sessions are free, but require advance registration, which can be found here.
Pride Paddle Out
2024 DATE: TBD
This is one of our favorite paddle events of the season! Join us on the bay for a parade style paddle along the Bellingham waterfront. We will be decorating boats, face painting, and making signs to bring all the spirit and color to the bay. Costume, decor, and sign supplies encouraged, we can’t wait to see all your decorated boats and selves!
Warriors on the Water

At CBC we value the brave men and women who have served our country and we want to say thanks by getting our Veterans on the bay! We aim to create a community of vets and their families, sharing in the recreational and therapeutic benefits of being on the water

Adaptive Splash

We are excited to host this free community paddling session in partnership with Cascade Connections, Max Higbee Center, and The AIROW Project! We at the CBC believe nothing heals and nourishes like the ocean and we are passionate about sharing that belief! We will provide paddle partners and adaptive equipment to anyone wanting to get on the water. Bring the whole family down or come discover your new boating community!
