Interested in becoming a community partner?
Silver Splash
The Community Boating Center and the Whatcom Council on Aging have come together to offer these boating programs to get seniors on Bellingham Bay!
Programs:
- Group Paddles - a community style paddle that is participant lead
- Silver Sails - Enjoy a sail tour of Bellingham Bay
- First Splash Paddles - For folks new to paddling this is a great introduction to sea kayaking
Experience is not necessary, but be ready to be out on the water most of the time!
Whatcom Council on Aging, in partnership with the people they serve, offers nutritional, health, social, recreational, and educational programs that promote lifelong independence.

Warriors on Water

At CBC we value the brave people who have served our country and we want to say thanks by getting our Veterans on the bay! We aim to create a community of vets and their families, sharing in the recreational and therapeutic benefits of being on the water.

Wild Women
In Partnership with Shifting Gears
Every Wednesday, May - September
The Community Boating Center and Shifting Gears partner to offer weekly all women’s sunset paddles on Bellingham Bay. We provide experienced staff that will lead the sea kayaking adventures and provide all kayak and safety equipment.

Adaptive Splash
In Partnership with The AIROW Project, Max Higbee Center & Cascade Connection
Every Thursday, May - September
We are excited to host this free community paddling session in partnership with Cascade Connections, Max Higbee Center, and The AIROW Project! All ages and abilities welcome! We at the CBC believe nothing heals and nourishes like the ocean and we are passionate about sharing that belief. We will provide paddle partners and adaptive equipment to anyone wanting to get on the water. Bring the whole family down or come discover your new boating community!

Pride Paddle Out
Every Friday, May - September
Our annual pride parade has been so popular we decided to make it a weekly session! Join us on the bay every week for a casual paddle along the Bellingham waterfront with your 2SLGBTQIA+ community. We provide experienced staff that will lead the paddling adventures and provide all paddle and safety equipment. What type of paddling you ask? Take your pick! We will have Kayaks and Paddle Boards to choose from, the mega SUP will also be out and about to play with. Type of craft is first come - first serve.
